East Midlands Youth Jazz Orchestra "To provide aspiring musicians the opportunities to have fun and excel in jazz performance in a safe and positive learning environment." The EMYJO organisation currently comprises 3 Jazz Orchestras and a Saxophone Choir, however, due to the exceptional demand, there are plans afoot to create more EMYJO ensembles in the near future! Every EMYJO ensemble is under the supervision of the MD, Jonathan Eno. EMYJO are the recipients of two “Outstanding Services to Jazz Education Awards” from the International Association of Jazz Educators. Over the past few years EMYJO has continued to pursue a policy of working with some of the countries finest professional jazz musicians, and regularly performs with these new friends to sell out gigs.
